Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Who We Are

tools4everyone ("we", "us", "our") provides free online tools for image editing, PDF processing, and media downloads at tools4everyone.com.

2. Data We Process

  • Files you upload (images, PDFs, documents) are processed entirely in your browser or temporarily on our server. They are never stored permanently and are deleted immediately after processing completes.
  • No user accounts — we do not collect names, emails, or passwords.
  • IP addresses may be logged temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention. These are not linked to any personal identity and are purged automatically.
  • Language preference is stored in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)

We process data based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) to provide the service you request, and on your consent when you voluntarily upload files for processing.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded files are deleted from server memory immediately after the processed result is returned to you. Temporary files are automatically cleaned up within minutes. We do not maintain any database of user-uploaded content.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or any third-party advertising. No data is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Translation API — If you use the PDF translation feature, text excerpts are sent to MyMemory (mymemory.translated.net) for translation. No personal identifiers are sent.
  • OpenCV.js — Loaded from docs.opencv.org for image processing features. This script runs entirely in your browser.

7. Your Rights (GDPR Articles 15–22)

Because we do not store personal data beyond immediate processing, most data-subject rights are fulfilled automatically. You have the right to:

  • Access — We do not retain your data, so there is nothing to access.
  • Erasure — Files are deleted immediately; no manual erasure is needed.
  • Object — You may stop using the service at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint — You may contact your local data-protection authority.

8. Security Measures

  • All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS.
  • File uploads are validated by type and size.
  • Rate limiting prevents abuse.
  • Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, and other HTTP security headers are enforced.
  • No user data is written to persistent storage or databases.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes.
